Volunteer Group of the Year
Chesil Sailability were delighted to be nominated as a Volunteer Group of the Year, as part of the Dorset Volunteer Centre's annual Volunteer Awards Evening. The evening celebrations were held on the 29th October, to coincide with National Make a Difference Day - a day to celebrate volunteers! and aren't our volunteers worth celebrating! It was a very jolly evening, and three of our fabulous volunteers, Jane Buckle, Malcolm Cumber and Peter Fry, accepted the certificate on behalf of the whole team. Jane Buckle said "I felt so proud! I was proud to be in Dorset, with all the other amazing volunteer groups, and I was really proud to be there with Chesil Sailability!" Thank you to Dorset Volunteer Centre for holding the event, and Waitrose who sponsored the event with very tasty food. More photos to follow...
