This Saturday saw another first for Chesil Sailability - yacht sailing out in the bay! A range of factors meant we couldn't go sailing in our usual boats, so we tested out the hoists at the pontoons at WPNSA and tried to hoist our race team sailors into a 40ft yacht owned by one of our volunteers. This worked well, even though the yacht sits next to the pontoons at a very different height to our little Hansa 303's.The breeze was gentle, and sea state smooth, so once everyone was settled into the cockpit of the boat, we ventured out into Weymouth Bay! It proved to be a great outing! Many thanks to John Tweed for the boat and our volunteer team - who all joined us on the water too!
